Restated, trips are supplementary and should not replace the main camp program. Travel It is necessary to ensure reliable, safe transport to and from the destination. Safety When leaving the campsite, particular attention needs to be paid to concerns of camper safety and well-being. Many uncertainties are present, and it is ultimately the responsibility of the camp leaders to ensure that the trip is appropriate and safe for all participants. Types of Transportation needed Once camp begins, staff is no longer allowed to operate personal vehicles. The camp will need to rent vehicles that can be operated for the duration of camp. The camp will also need to charter buses to transport the camp on scheduled trips.
